In compliance with Ordinance #1852, the following are the rules and regulations pertaining to garage, yard, basement and personal items sales.

1. A permit must be obtained. The fee is One Dollar ($1.00)
2. The permit shall entitle the purchaser of said permit to conduct a yard sale, basement sale, garage sale, or sale of merchandise or personal goods from a personal residence for a period of time not to exceed the four (4) days specified on the permit. Only one four (4) day permit shall be issued to the same purchaser or family, or for the same location within a forty-five (45) day period.
3. No signs advertising a home sale shall be displayed at any place except on the premises of which the sale is being held or on other private premises with the permission of the landowner. No signs shall be placed on light poles, telephone poles or other public structures, or in the curb strip of any property. Once the sale is over, all signs must be collected.
4. After the expiration date on the permit has expired, all merchandise and personal property shall be placed inside and out of view from the public.
