Dumpster Permit

In compliance with Ordinance #2787, the following are the rules and regulations pertaining to Dumpsters.

  1. Any person who wishes to park, stop or permit a roll-off container, dumpster or other container on any public street or sidewalk must obtain a permit from the mayor’s office.
  2. The roll-off container, dumpster or other container must be removed from the site at the end of 7-days unless otherwise approved by the mayor’s office, at its sole discretion, and the payment of the extension fee up to a maximum of 30 days from original issuance.
  3. Applicant must take proper care to protect against damage with boards or plate.
  4. Damages done to public property is the responsibility of the permit applicant.
  5. If container is filled to capacity, the applicant must have it emptied or replaced within 3 days.
  6. Any person violating any provision of this article shall upon conviction thereof, be punished under this ordinance as set forth shall not be fined more than $100.00 for each offense committed and shall be listed as a Minor Misdemeanor Offense.
  7. The receipt for payment is not the permit. Permits will be manually issued from our office to the applicant when they are approved. If they are not approved, we will refund your money.
  8. Dumpster Permits cost $10 and an extension (over 7 days of placement) costs an additional $25.
  9. If you are doing OUTSIDE work (fence, windows, roof, etc) to your home you may also need a Building Permit.  You can request one here.
